The Father of the Bride stars have had an impromptu reunion
It’s been a while since we’ve seen these three in the same frame, not since the wedding photos at least.
But earlier this week, there was an impromptu reunion of the cast of ‘Father of the Bride’.
Comedy greats Steve Martin and Martin Short were performing with bluegrass band the Steep Canyon Rangers at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
And showing support for the pair was Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who played Martin’s on-screen daughter Annie in the movie, alongside Short’s eccentric wedding planner Franck Eggelhoffer.
Posting a picture on Instagram, Williams-Paisley captioned: “‘Loved seeing my former costars @stevemartintogo & @themartinshort at the Opryhouse tonight for their show in #Nashville.”
Martin later re-tweeted the picture too…

It’s been 26 years since that first movie, with its sequel ‘Father of the Bride II’ arriving in 1995.
But this meeting might not be the initial germ of a third movie – rather a date in Martin and Short’s tour of the US, a show that’s a mix of music and comedy dubbed ‘an evening you will forget for the rest of your life’.

Martin and Short have been pals for a fair few decades, since they first appeared on the big screen together in ‘Three Amigos’, Short’s movie breakthrough.
