The Founder: Michael Keaton stars in brand new UK trailer for McDonald's biopic (exclusive)


Michael Keaton is on the Oscar-trail once again after narrowly missing out on winning the Best Actor for ‘Birdman’ in 2015.

He’s playing entrepreneur Ray Kroc in ‘The Founder’, the incredible true story of how a “over-the-hill milkshake machines salesman” became the owner of fast food chain McDonald’s and turned it into the global empire we know today.

We’re thrilled to exclusively share the brand new, never before seen, UK trailer for ‘The Founder’ which opens in UK cinemas on 17 February. We’ll have ours supersize, please.

Here’s the official synopsis: ‘The Founder’ is a drama that tells the true story of how Ray Kroc (Keaton), a salesman from Illinois, met Mac and Dick McDonald, who were running a burger operation in 1950s Southern California. Kroc was impressed by the brothers’ speedy system of making the food and saw franchise potential. He manoeuvred himself into a position to be able to pull the company from the brothers and create a billion-dollar empire.

Starring Michael Keaton, Nick Offerman, and Laura Dern ‘The Founder’ is out in UK cinemas 17 February.
