Third ‘The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ Film in Development

Alloy Entertainment is developing the third film from “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” series.

“Sisterhood Everlasting” follows the four friends ten years later, and having grown apart, Tibby tries to bridge the distance by reuniting the girls for a live-changing trip.

The two previous motion pictures starring Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn were based on “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” novels from best-selling author Ann Brashares.

The first film released in 2005 generated a total domestic gross of $39 million, while the 2008 sequel “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2,” grossed $44 million.

Liz Garcia (Dawson’s Creek) will adapt the novel and Ken Kwapis, who directed the original film, will return to helm.

President of Alloy Entertainment Les Morgenstein and vice president of Alloy Features Elysa Dutton will produce along with Christine Sacani.
