This ultimate Mad Max: Fury Road Halloween costume is the work of software engineers and DIY hobbyists Cory and Jeremy Newton-Smith, who have been building movie-themed costumes and vehicles every Halloween since their son was born. For his first Halloween, Cooper went as a baby Marty McFly in a push-car Delorean. Then he was a Ghostbuster (with an ECTO-1 vehicle), and Elliott from E.T. (with a bike, of course).

But now that Cooper has a little sister, the family has outdone themselves. As explained on Cory and Jeremy’s website Rottenkitten.com, the war rig was built from the parts of two second-hand Power Wheels Jeeps, outfitted with a new steering system and remote-control capacities (allowing the parents to control their kids’ off-roading with an iPhone).

As for the amazing exterior, that’s mostly just cardboard and paint. And then there are the costumes, including tiny versions of Max’s signature one-shoulder-pad jacket and Furiosa’s prosthetic arm.
