Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins Are Hosting 'CMA Country Christmas' Tonight and We Can't Wait

It's (almost) the most wonderful time of the year, and there's no one we'd rather celebrate with than our favorite country couple: Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins!

The country music star and his wife, a philanthropist and bestselling author, revealed that they will host the annual CMA Country Christmas special on Monday, November 30.

"We can't wait for you all to get to watch that and get into the holiday spirit with us," Thomas Rhett told Good Morning America as he announced the exciting news.

"I feel like this year, everyone's needed things to celebrate and look forward to and so it was like the second Halloween was over...I started decorating for Christmas," Lauren added.

We're totally with her on that one. Haul out the holly!

The event, which is filmed in Nashville, Tennessee, will air on Monday, November 30 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. You can also view it with ABC's Instant Streaming Access.

While this year’s show will probably be a bit different than years past due to COVID-19, we're sure the event will be filled with unforgettable performances—even if they are virtual. This year, some of the biggest names in country music are joining the festivities, including Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Gabby Barrett, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett, Darius Rucker, Lady A, and Lindsey Stirling.

Also, a whole bunch of fans mistakingly thought the promo picture was for a Hallmark movie starring the husband and wife duo...and now we need that to happen ASAP. You heard it here first, Hallmark!

In the meantime, we can't think of a better way to kick off the Christmas season than by cuddling up on the couch with our loved ones and watching our favorite country stars perform festive classics at CMA Country Christmas. November 30 (and December 25), here we come!
