Three men have been shot in a street in north London, with one being left in a life-threatening condition.

The victims were found with gunshot wounds in Hackney on Sunday night.

A 24-year-old man is in a life-threatening condition after the incident, police have said.

The two others who were shot were taken to hospital for non life-changing or life-threatening injuries.

These men were aged 32 and 60, police said.

Officers were called to Homerton High Street in Hackney around 10.50pm on Sunday over reports of a shooting, and found the three injured men on arrival.

There had been no arrests as of Monday in conjuction with the incident on 11 October.

The Metropolitan Police said they will step up their presence in the area.

A crime scene remained in place on Monday.

The Met have appealed for witnesses to the shooting, or people who saw anything suspicious in the area, to come forward to help with the investigation.
