The video shows the Mission: Impossible team including director Christopher McQuarrie and stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood discussing an extended car chase sequence that takes place in Rome and sees Cruise drive two different cars with one hand.
The clip shows Cruise did actually drive the cars one-handed for realism.
Cruise says in the video: "Everything we shot is completely practical."
He then adds: "It all comes down to one thing. How do we involve the audience. I just want to give them that thrill."
Cruise's co-star Hayley Atwell adds: "Tom driving and drifting one handed through the streets of Rome, that was a day I will never forget."
