Tom Hanks movie Finch is heading to Apple TV+ instead of cinemas.
Directed by Game of Thrones veteran Miguel Sapochnik, who yelled 'ACTION!' on episodes such as 'Battle of the Bastards' and 'Hardhome', this upcoming sci-fi is an Amblin Entertainment production set for streaming later this year.
It originally went by the title Bios.
Via Deadline, the movie centres on a man (Finch), his beloved dog and a robot as an unlikely family unit.
Two-time Oscar winner Hanks plays Finch, a robotics engineer and one of the last humans on Earth following a solar disaster.
"Finch, who has been living in an underground bunker for a decade, has built a world of his own that he shares with his dog, Goodyear. He creates a robot (played by Get Out star Caleb Landry Jones) to watch over Goodyear when he no longer can.
"As the trio embarks on a perilous journey into a desolate American West, Finch strives to show his creation the joy and wonder of what it means to be alive," continued a description.
This is another win for Apple TV+ after previously securing distribution for Hanks' oceanic WWII epic Greyhound.
It eventually went on to break a record for the streaming service.
Finch will premiere on Apple TV+ later this year.
