Tom Hiddleston Hosts Fox News Weather Report & Blames Thor

It’s becoming something of a trend to see celebrities randomly popping up to host TV weather reports, and now British actor Tom Hiddleston has done precisely that.

Hiddleston, who plays Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, randomly appeared on Fox 32 News this weekend, much to everyone’s surprise, including his own.

Even though he was wearing a smart-looking suit, he assumed the persona of the God of Mischief and proceeded to ‘report’ on the stormy weather - notably a tornado in Oklahmoa, USA.

Initially the regular weather reporter describes the carnage this tornado has caused, then, out of nowhere, begins to discuss Thor of all things.

“We go to Loki, who’s of course Thor’s brother, to talk about the bad weather coming in here!” The news team were likely as bemused as everyone watching at home, but for fans it was a nice treat to see the usually suave star fumble his way through half a minute of improvised weather talk.

Take a look at the video below.

“My brother from another mother’s been misbehaving,” Hiddleston began.

“There’s a huge storm coming in. All that means is Chris Hemsworth has taken his huge hammer, smashed it on the surface of the sky and it’s gonna rain a helluva lot.” Even under pressure, the’High-Rise’ star is an eloquent as ever.

But Hiddleston’s not the first famous face to indulge in a spot of weather presenting. The likes of Tom Hanks, Steve Carrel, Jason Schwartzman, and Michael Cera have all had a go at one time or another, and it looks like the craze (if you can call it that) is here to stay. We’re hoping Jennifer Lawrence tries her hand at it sooner rather than later, because that’d be one entertaining thirty seconds, we reckon.
