Tom Holland has given fans an update on his upcoming new movie Uncharted.
The movie, which will see the Spider-Man star take on the role of Nathan Drake, had its filming postponed back in March due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and Digital Spy understands that production is hoping to pick back up soon.
Sharing a new update, Holland posted a picture of the word "Nate" on his Instagram, accompanied by the caption "day one #uncharted".
The movie has suffered repeated delays. It was originally set for release in late 2020, but was then pushed back to March 5, 2021, and then delayed again – it's now expected to hit the big screen on October 8 next year.
Ahead of the production start, Holland shared a picture showing off his ripped physique for the role of Drake, alluding to co-star Mark Wahlberg with the caption: "When working with @markwahlberg you gotta get after it!".
Last week, Holland also shared his "floppy" hair look, sharing a clip of it bouncing as he addressed his make-up artist: "Rachel, what have you done?!"
In April, the actor expressed uncertainty about his upcoming schedule, admitting he was not sure whether work on Spider-Man 3 would resume in July as planned.
"I was in Berlin making a film called Uncharted with Mark Wahlberg and we were all ready to go, we went to set for day one shooting and then we got shut down and we all got sent home."
He added: "So whether we shoot that movie first or we shoot Spider-Man first I am unclear."
Uncharted is due for release on October 8, 2021.
