Tom Holland might have only made one appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Spider-Man so far, but he’s already got a clear idea of how the sequels to this summer’s ‘Homecoming’ will unfold.

That’s because the ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ follow-ups are going to follow the same pattern of the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, as each instalment will see Peter Parker go into a brand new school year.

“I think that is the overall plan, I think the Harry Potter movies are a perfect example, they worked so well. I’m such a huge fan, as are billions of people, so why not follow that perfect formula? And I think we can something really exciting with that,” Holland told MTV, via Metro.

However the 20-year-old admitted that he doesn’t really have much of an input into this decisions, adding, “You know those discussions all happen behind closed doors with the creative and I’m only brought into the process much later, when we have a script and I can sort of write little notes on what I’d like to happen.”

So if Peter Parker has a scar on his head in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ then we know who to blame. We’ll find out how many ‘Harry Potter’ Easter eggs Tom Holland managed to sneak into ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ when it is released in the UK on 7 July.
