"That was quite a long time before I went on to TOWIE and I got really far down to like the bit where you're meeting someone with a pink umbrella. It was a bit strange," she began. “I don't think I made it because there was a girl very similar to me.
"I can't remember her name but she was blonde, big boobs, and skinny. She went on to win it actually, the girl who went on instead of me. I'm glad I didn't do it because I couldn't remember her name even for a million pounds and I'm not even being disrespectful.
"I think that it was just the universe telling me I wasn't supposed to [appear on it]. I was gutted at the time because I loved the programme and I'm actually so excited that's coming back on TV," she added.
Though Sims revealed that she was glad her path took her to TOWIE instead, she didn't rule out appearing in the rebooted version of Big Brother, which is set to premiere on ITV2 later this year.
"I'd never rule it out, I'm a big fan of Big Brother but I don't know if it would be a good idea because it could go one way or the other with me," she said. "I tend to forget about cameras, and a good example of that is when I did Celebrity Karaoke Club.
"To be honest, I don't know what will come out of this mouth, especially after a wine. But I do love seeing the celebs humiliate themselves, so yeah I would definitely consider it in the future," she teased.
The Only Way Is Essex airs on ITVBe and streams on ITVX. The rebooted Big Brother will premiere on ITV2 and ITVX in October.
