Toy Story 4 Casts Patricia Arquette In The Perfect Role

While it was disappointingly confirmed last month that ‘Toy Story 4’ had been pushed back a year, things are still moving forward with the film as it’s been confirmed that Patricia Arquette has joined the cast.

According to The Wrap, the Oscar winning actress, who picked up her gong last February for her turn in Richard Linklater’s glorious ‘Boyhood’, is currently in talks to portray “a laid-back mom who’s described as a hippie.”

Yep, that’s a role that I can certainly see Patricia Arquette performing with aplomb, especially since her character in ‘Boyhood’ possessed plenty of these traits too.

Other than that, as you’d expect, information regarding Patricia Arquette’s potential ‘Toy Story 4’ character is at a premium. In fact, we don’t really know all that much about ‘Toy Story 4’ to begin with.

Other than the fact that it’s being directed by John Lasseter, written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, whose scriptwriting work on ‘Jesse & Celeste’ landed them the coveted gig, and it will revolve around Woody (Tom Hanks) pursuing Bo Peep (Annie Potts).

For those of you that aren’t aware, in both ‘Toy Story’ and ‘Toy Story 2’ it was heavily suggested that Woody and Bo Peep were the mom and dad toys of Andy’s Room. Then, in ‘Toy Story 3’, Bo Peep had been sold by Andy’s mom, leaving Woody all alone. Well, except for Buzz, Rex, etc.

I’m going to assume that ‘Toy Story 4’ will involve the gang setting off on an adventure to find her. We’ll have to wait until June 15, 2018 to find out if that’s the case, which currently sounds ridiculously far away.
