Transformers: The Last Knight Unveils Megatron

Megatron is back in ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’.

It’s no secret that the big, bad ‘Transformers’ villain would be returning for ‘The last Knight’… even though he was transformed into Galvatron during the events of ‘Age of Extinction’. But now we’ve got our first glimpse at Megatron.

And he looks bigger and badder than ever.

Of course, Megatron needs no introduction…

But for those who aren’t familiar with the man villain of the ‘Transformers’ universe, the studio has put together a brief bio to give you a hint of what you might expect.

And it kind of says it all.

Megatron is described as a “ruthless Decepticon oppressor’ with a personality that is summed up in a simple sentence: “peace through tyranny”. A pretty apt description for the main villain of the ‘Transformers’ series.

But what about his new look?

Obviously, Megatron retains his all-over silver colour scheme. But this time around, it’s clear that his new armour is mimicking a medieval knight – especially when it comes to the shape of Megatron’s head.

And that’s definitely no coincidence, considering the film’s title.

Either way, it looks as though Megatron is still sporting that impressive enormous gun attached to his right arm. But this time, he’s also wielding a massive battle axe for good measure.

Awesome.

But will Frank Welker return to voice him? For now, we have to wait and see.

‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ stars Mark Wahlberg, Laura Haddock, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson.

This will reportedly be Michael Bay’s final ‘Transformers’ movie, and is based on a screenplay by Matt Holloway, Art Marcum and Ken Nolan.

‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ heads to cinemas on 23 June 2017.
