Transformers: The Last Knight will include Dinobots

It’s official – ‘Transformers 5’ has Dinobots.

We’ve all suspected it. After featuring in ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’, the Dinobots have to appear in the upcoming sequel. Well now it’s official – Grimlock is back. And he’s brought some friends.

“He’s funny,” said director Michael Bay in an interview with Collider. “He’s like a naughty dog in this movie. He’s really sheepish when he does something wrong. He’s a great character. He’s really – we’re bringing out a side of him that you’re going to like – you’re going to relate to.”

Of course, his appearance in ‘Age of Extinction’ was something the fans loved… but with just a minor role in the movie, this time around Grimlock will be getting a lot more screen time.

But while fans will be thrilled at his return, he isn’t alone.

“We have Mini Dino’s,” he explained. “Those are really fun. We’ve got little mini T. Rexes. He’s just learning to spit fire. He’s just come into his powers. It’s pretty funny.”

Not quite the same presence as Grimlock, these new miniature Dinobots seem to be more of a comic relief in the same way that Baby Groot piles on the humour in the recent ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ trailer.

How effective they are, remains to be seen.

Still, the Dinobots are a welcome addition to ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’. And with far more screen time this time around, it looks as though Dinobot fans are in for a real treat.

Lets just hope we get a good look at these new dinos in the upcoming trailer.
