Travis Barker's ex-wife, Shanna Moakler – whom he was married to from 2004 to 2008 – has spoken out about his dramatic hospitalisation.

ICYMI, earlier this week TMZ reported that Travis had been rushed to hospital (with current wife Kourtney Kardashian by his side) after an earlier visit to a medical centre. Shortly afterwards, his daughter Alabama Barker took to social media to ask fans for their "prayers", whilst Travis himself tweeted: "God save me."

Since then, there's been little news of Travis' condition, but TMZ reports that the musician is suffering from pancreatitis, which doctors believe was triggered by a recent colonoscopy. The NHS describes pancreatitis as the inflammation of the pancreas which can cause severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and a high temperature or fever.

Now, days of from the Blink-182's admission to hospital, Shanna said in a statement: "Thank you to everyone who has reached out with concern to my ex and father of my children."

She went on, "I know he is in great hands and surrounded by loving support and the best medical teams available and his beautiful wife Kourtney."

Shanna – who shares two children with Travis, 16-year-old Alabama and 18-year-old Landon Barker – added that she hopes "for a speedy recovery and for the comfort of my children as I know they are very concerned and worried."

"Travis has beat the odds numerous times and I know with his support system he will do it again," she continued, referencing a tragic plane crash that Travis survived in 2008 which sadly took the lives of four people, including two of his close friends. The fatal accident left him with third-degree burns, PTSD and survivor's guilt, as well as a fear of flying. "I will always be there for him and my children," Shanna told fans.

Elsewhere Travis' stepdaughter, 23-year-old Atiana De La Hoya, said on her Instagram Story: "Thank you for the outpouring of love and prayers sent our way at this time. It is heard, felt and appreciated."

E! Online also reports that Alabama shared a photo to her Instagram Story in which she held hands with her dad at his hospital bed. "Please say a prayer," she reportedly captioned the now-deleted image, alongside two broken-heart emojis.

Sending our thoughts to Travis and his family, and we hope he feels better very soon.
