One of the most respected audio brands in the world, Sennheiser is rightly renowned for its premium headphones. Wear a pair and you’ll almost certainly attract nodding approval from fellow Hi-Fi enthusiasts and those in the know.

The good news is you don’t have to spend a fortune to join the club. The brand has some belting bargain Bluetooth models in its range, and right now Amazon has slashed the price on its entry-level wireless HD 350BT over-ears to just £75.

I’ve been testing a pair for a few weeks now, and I’m hugely impressed with their musical quality and battery life.

Closely related to their more expensive stablemates, the HD 350BT boast a clean, contemporary design and are light (just 238g) and comfortable to wear, thanks to some decent headband padding.

They also enjoy a ridiculously long 30 hour battery life, and use the latest Qualcomm Bluetooth v5.0 chipset.

The earcups twist left and right, and fold down into a small bundle, which makes them easy to pop into a pocket or bag. It’s worth noting that there’s no protective carry case included.

Audio quality is brilliant for the cash. These headphones reveal lots of lovely musical detail, but don’t over-egg the bass. Their sound signature is clean and crisp, rather than dance-floor thumpy. They’re also deliciously dynamic, making them great fun with lively pop and rock.

Inevitably, the bargain price tag means you’ll not get noise cancelling. For that you’ll need to step up to the Sennheiser HD 450BT, which Amazon is selling for £103, which represents a huge saving for £50 off the list price, but the snug soft ear cushions offer reasonable isolation when out and about.

There’s no fancy touch controls either. You’ll navigate your music tracks the old fashioned way, with physical buttons - but I can live with that. The right ear cup features a USB-C charging port, Power and Bluetooth pairing buttons, plus volume and playback control. You’ll soon get the knack.

More importantly, from a sonic point of view, the HD 350BT support aptX Bluetooth, for higher quality wireless music playback, as well as aptX Low Latency, which offers better syncing when watching streaming services like Netflix and YouTube on your smartphone.

For £75, I reckon these Sennheiser HD 350 BTs are currently going for a song. Amazon buyers clearly agree, voting them 4.4 out of 5, and praising their sound quality and value.
