The Ukrainian Interior Ministry showcased fragments of the downed Russian rocket that fell in the Kyiv region on Dec. 8, a Kyiv Police press office said.
“Occupiers launched attacks on the [Kyiv] region's territory in the morning,” the police said. “Falling debris damaged a few buildings, a vehicle, agricultural structures, and a gas pipe. Fortunately, there are no casualties.”
Police officers, explosive experts, rescuers, and gas service representatives are working at the scene.
Law enforcement is conducting an inspection of the incident site and documenting the consequences of the hostile attack.
Air raid alerts were declared in several regions of Ukraine in the early hours of Dec. 8.
Russian Forces launched cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers. All missiles heading towards Kyiv were destroyed on approach to the capital, reported Ukraine’s Defense Ministry.
14 out of 19 Russian X-101 and X-555 cruise missiles were successfully neutralized during missile attack the morning, said Yuriy Ihnat, the Air Force spokesperson.
