'Unbreakable' returns to the Official Film Chart Top 10 ahead of 'Glass' hitting cinemas


M. Night Shyamalan’s 2000 thriller Unbreakable has received a huge bump in digital downloads and disc sales ahead of the the release of its sequel Glass on Friday.

Punters keen to remind themselves of the first part of Shyamalan’s superhero trilogy have propelled the film to number 8 in the Official Film Chart Top 10, the only chart in the world to combine physical and digital film sales.

2016’s Split, Glass‘s predecessor, is more readily available as it was added to Netflix last week ahead of the threequel’s cinema release on Friday.

Elsewhere in the chart, Shane Black’s creature feature The Predator has debuted at number 1, while Keanu Reeves’ straight-to-download thriller Siberia has landed at number 9.

The chart, published every Wednesday, ranks the biggest selling films on disc and download for each week. It is the product of a partnership between the Official Charts Company, the British Association for Screen Entertainment and incorporates data from retailer members of the Entertainment Retailers Association.

The Official Film Chart counts movie downloads from services including Amazon, iTunes, Sky Store, Virgin Media Store, Rakuten TV, Talk Talk TV, as well as 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD disc sales from all high street and online retailers.
