US Inbetweeners movie planned

TV series to air next month

A US version of the 'The Inbetweeners Movie' is in production, according to reports.

Major studio Paramount is said to have signed up the co-creator of the series Iain Morris to write and direct the feature-length film, claims the Hollywood Reporter.




The news comes after the E4 TV series was picked up to be remade in the States.

It will be launched on US MTV next month.

The new US version of the show will star Joey Pollari, Bubba Lewis, Zack Pearlman and Mark L. Young as the hapless teenagers.

Meanwhile, the feature-length UK film, which set a record for the most successful opening weekend ever of a UK comedy film, ultimately hauling in over £45 million, will be released in the US in September.
