Yahoo Movies This Is Us star joins Bank of Dave sequel as filming starts
This Is Us star Chrissy Metz has joined the cast of the upcoming sequel to Netflix's Bank of Dave.
As reported by Screen International, filming has already begun on the follow up to the 2023 movie with the cast heading to Leeds and Burnley to shoot.
"The 'Bank Of Dave' sequel is now filming in Leeds and Burnley," they shared via Twitter/X. "Rory Kinnear returns, with Chrissy Metz joining the cast."

Announcing the news in April last year, Netflix revealed that Bank of Dave would be getting an unexpected second outing titled Bank of Dave: The Sequel.
Based on a true story, the original film starred James Bond's Rory Kinnear as Dave Fishwick, a man who founded a community bank in Burnley after learning that larger banks had been denying local businesses loans.
Per the official synopsis, the next instalment in the Dave Cinematic Universe will see Fishwick take on "a new and more dangerous adversary: The Payday Lenders".

As Fishwick embarks on a journey to protect the country's vulnerable communities by taking down the payday lenders, he risks his bank, liberty, and even his life.
Starring alongside Kinnear in the first outing was Game of Thrones stars Joel Fry and Paul Kaye, Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor and After Life's Jo Hartley. So far only Kinnear and Hartley are confirmed to be returning for the sequel.
Metz is best known for her portrayal of Kate Pearson in NBC's familial drama This is Us. She previously opened up about the emotional breakdown of her character's marriage before she ultimately found love again by the end of the show, saying: "It's incredibly sad, but it's been such a long time coming that you're like: 'Oh my gosh, we can breathe for a moment', as difficult as it is to shoot, [because] literally you're saying goodbye to a relationship that existed for many, many years."
Bank of Dave is streaming now on Netflix. Bank of Dave: The Sequel is yet to confirm a release date.
