If you're a fan of the late Ken Block, and you really should be, you're going to love the auction going on right now on eBay Motors. Block's family created the 43 Institute to carry on his legacy through mentorship pathways, skill development, and improved access to resources following his untimely and tragic death in January 2023 at age 55. Now, the Block family and the 43 Institute are partnering with eBay Motors to auction a fitting 43 pieces of KB, Gymkhana, and Hoonigan history.
The project, called "From the Collection: Ken Block," has enough hooning history to make any motoring enthusiast excited. There's enough for sale here for everyone to go home happy. Want some Hoonicorn v1 sequential gears from Hoonicorn v1 that were damaged in Gymkhana 7? Put in your best bid. Maybe you'd prefer the burnt clutch plates from the Climbkhana: Pikes Peak Hoonicorn v2? Or perhaps your office shelves are full but your garage isn't. There's a Hoonigan-themed Specialized bike painted by Livery Artists standing by for you to grab it. And much more. Might we suggest the Ford Fiesta RX43 door from Ken's 2015 Global Rallycross season?
The full list is live on eBay Motors right now.
"Ken was passionate about motorsports, action sports, creative arts, and giving back to those communities. We founded 43 Institute after his passing to carry on his empowerment of others," said Lucy Block, Ken's widow, who's a rally driver and Block House Racing principal. "Opening our archives for the first time with eBay Motors and sharing a piece of his career with fans is the perfect way to honor his legacy."
If you haven't noted the significance of the date yet, it's no coincidence the auction went live today, April 3. Honoring Ken's longtime race number 43, the auction started today on Ken Block day and will run for 10 days through April 13, 2024.
