A video featuring Rajdeep Sardesai has gone viral on social media. The clip shows the senior journalist dancing inside a television studio after Aam Aadmi Party swept the Delhi polls on Tuesday.
In the video, the master pollster, Pradeep Gupta, is also seen gyrating to the Shah Rukh Khan's song 'Badshah O Badshah'. The incident took place at the TV studio of the India Today news channel.
As many took to Twitter to mock the act, Rajdeep clarified that Pradeep and he danced, not to celebrate AAP’s victory, but to celebrate the accuracy of their exit poll, which had predicted 59 to 68 seats for Arvind Kejriwal’s party.
Rajdeep also vehemently denied the suggestion that they were celebrating a defeat for the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Yes sir, my rock star pollster gets it bang on and we do a celebratory dance! Next time he will sing too. You on the other hand are an utter disgrace to what passes off as journalism and sing and dance to your Master’s voice. And spread hate. Good luck https://t.co/W1nKSj04qe— Rajdeep Sardesai (@sardesairajdeep) February 11, 2020
Pradeep heads Axis My India, an organisation that excels in conducting election surveys, among other things, and has been predicting accurate election results for the last four years.
