We've got an exclusive first-look clip at new AI thriller T.I.M. starring The Witcher's Eamon Ferran, which you can watch above.

The clip sees Ferran's android make a call for robotics engineer Abi (Barbarian and Bird Box Barcelona's Georgina Campbell), only to freak her out by revealing he can mimic her voice to sound exactly like her.

"Experiments have shown that people are more comfortable with AI that sound less human and use traditional household objects. If you prefer, I can adjust my vocal pattern for a more naturalistic delivery," T.I.M. explains.

We're not quite sure she's that comfortable, really.

T.I.M. (which stands for Technologically Integrated Manservant) sees the titular android get a bit too obsessed with Abi when she's given a prototype of him when she starts a new job for a tech company.

The android starts to do everything he can to take her husband's (Mark Rowley) place, using his access to their data to make Abi think that her husband is cheating on her again. But can Abi discover the truth before it's too late?

When the first trailer for T.I.M. landed last month, it was confirmed that the new movie would be available to watch on Netflix in the UK and Ireland from Wednesday, August 16.

So not too long to wait to find out what else T.I.M. gets up to...

The movie marks the feature debut of writer-director Spencer Brown who praised the cast when he spoke about the movie last year.

"Georgina lights up the screen with her amazing presence and subtlety, Mark wins our hearts with his humour, depth and humanity, and Eamon completes the central trio with a brilliant AI performance that showcases his truly world-class talent," he enthused.

T.I.M. is released on Netflix in the UK and Ireland on August 16.
