The first teaser trailer for Disney’s long-awaited live action adaptation of ‘The BFG’ has arrived and it’s rather spectacular.
Watch it above.
Steven Spielberg has teamed up with ‘E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial’ screenwriter Melissa Mathison to bring Roald Dahl’s much-loved book to life and the new live acton movie will hit cinemas next summer.
Mark Rylance is the Big Friendly Giant of the title who works with young orphan Sophie - newcomer Ruby Barnhill - to save the world from an invasion of not-so-friendly giants with charming names like Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement).
Dahl’s book has already been adapted as a made-for-TV animated movie which aired on ITV in 1989 with David Jason providing the BFG’s voice.
This new version, produced by Disney, is sure to win over legions of new fans for the 1982 book.
‘The BFG’ is coming to cinemas 22 July, 2016.
