Take That are coming to the big screen (kind of) in new movie Greatest Days, and the first trailer has now been released which you can check out above.

Based on the stage musical The Band, the new movie centres on a group of friends who reunite for the first time when their beloved band come back for another tour, 25 years after their lives changed forever.

It was confirmed earlier this month that Elysian Film Group would be releasing Greatest Days in UK and Ireland cinemas on June 16, with nationwide previews on June 15 on the same night as the premiere in London.

Along with the first trailer, it's been confirmed that Take That will deliver a live performance at the premiere, which will be included in the nationwide previews taking place that same night.

Greatest Days stars This Way Up's Aisling Bea, Strictly Come Dancing star Jayde Adams, Alice Lowe, Amaka Onafor and Marc Wootton, with Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald on board as executive producers.

Directed by Coky Giedroyc and written by Calendar Girls' Tim Firth, the movie also stars Lara McDonnell, Jessie Mae Alonzo, Nandi Hudson, Carragon Guest, Eliza Dobson, Aaron Bryan, Joshua Jung, Dalvin Cory, Mark Samaras and Mervin Noronha.

The trailer and poster has also revealed that the movie will feature Take That hits including 'Back for Good', 'Rule the World', 'Patience', 'Shine', 'Never Forget' and 'Could It Be Magic'.

"Greatest Days is a film dedicated to all those who have supported us throughout the years. It puts a mirror on our audience – it's a celebration of our music but it's literally all about the fans and their friendships," Take That previously said of the movie in a statement.

Greatest Days will be released in UK and Ireland cinemas on June 16, with nationwide previews on June 15.
