It has been 15 years since Wedding Crashers was released and it seems like a sequel could definitely be on the cards.

The film starred Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as John and Jeremy, divorce lawyers and best friends, who spend their weekends crashing weddings to meet women.

There has been talk of a sequel to the film before, but Vaughn has revealed that there are now serious talks about returning for another Crashers, and that original director David Dobkin is also on board.

"Owen and I and the director of Crashers have been talking for the first time seriously [about] a sequel to that movie," Vaughn told Entertainment Tonight.

"So there has been an idea that is pretty good. So we are talking about that in the early stages."

Earlier this year, Rachel McAdams, who played John's love interest Claire Cleary, and Will Ferrell, who appeared briefly in the original film, admitted they're both up for a follow-up.

"Wedding Crashers 2, yeah. I think we can just say it's being written," Ferrell told E! News and pitched his own idea.

"How about if it's just the lawyers representing everyone in divorce court? And just make it like a legal courtroom drama, not funny at all."

Revealing that she'd love to team up with Vaughn and Wilson again, McAdams added: "I got to work with Owen again on Midnight in Paris, so that was super fun,

"And I worked with Vince again on True Detective, now I'm just remembering it. But those were very different. So yeah, it'd be nice to go back and have a romp."
