Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan are apparently in talks to star in Hanif Kureishi's Le Weekend.

The veteran actors would play a couple who go on holiday to Paris in a bid to revitalise their marriage, The Daily Mail reports.

Jim would star as a university professor while Lindsay would appear as a school teacher in the film. Jeff Goldblum is also said to be in discussions to co-star.

The Iron Lady star Jim has finished work on Filth, the big screen adaptation of Irvine Welsh's novel, which also stars James McAvoy and Jamie Bell.

Meanwhile, Lindsay appears in upcoming thriller Last Passenger alongside Dougray Scott.
