Westworld, Parks and Recreation stars land lead roles in Blumhouse thriller

Stars from Westworld and Parks and Recreation are teaming up for a new thriller.

Variety reports Angela Sarafyan and Paul Schneider have been cast in Blumhouse and streaming service Epix's forthcoming film, A House on the Bayou.

The straight-to-service movie follows a troubled couple who decide to vacation in an isolated home along the Louisiana Bayou to reconnect with their teenage daughter.

However, the arrival of unexpected visitors sees the family's facade of unity quickly dissolve as terrifying secrets emerge.

A House on the Bayou has already begun production in New Orleans and is set to premiere on Epix later this year.

Written and directed by Alex McAulay, the film also stars Maze Runner's Jacob Lofland in a significant role and Eternals actress Lia McHugh as the couple's teen daughter.

Doug Van Liew and Lauren Richards round out the cast, with Jason Blum serving as an executive producer on the project.

Also shooting in New Orleans this month is Taron Egerton's new Apple TV+ series, In With the Devil.

Sarafyan plays Clementine Pennyfeather in Westworld. She has also starred in American Horror Story and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

Schneider played Mark Brendanawicz in Parks and Recreation, and recently appeared in The Tunnel and American Crime Story.

A House on the Bayou will premiere on Epix later this year.
