What happened to the cast of The Terminator?

James Cameron's 1984 action/sci-fi classic has spawned three further instalments so far (although they probably should've stopped after the excellent second), and has to be the most captivating man vs. machine, time travel-based movie ever.

The main guy behind the infamous killing machine, Arnold Schwarzenegger, now has a long-term career in politics after leaving roles in Hollywood for the governor of the state of California. Despite this, he made a cameo appearance recently alongside his action buddies in 'The Expendables'. He also made a brief, computer-generated appearance in 'Terminator Salvation'. Arnie famously said "I'll be back" and, true to his word, he was. But what of the other cast members?

Linda Hamilton
After playing Sarah Connor, the mother of the man who could win the battle against the machines, Hamilton enjoyed big and small screen success. The former including 'Black Moon Rising', the latter most notably 'Beauty and the Beast'. She was married to the film's director James Cameron, with whom she has a daughter. The marriage didn't last long, ending in a costly divorce. She returned for 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day' (her voice was also heard in 'Terminator Salvation'), while her TV work included 'Frasier', 'Weeds' and 'Chuck'. She also admits to having voted for Arnie in the 2003 California election.

Michael Biehn
The man who played Kyle Reese, sent back in time to save Sarah Connor and, therefore, the human race, Biehn did get to work with Cameron again in 'Aliens' and 'The Abyss' and seemed to get typecast as a military man. He's played a Navy Seal three times, the last being in 1990's 'Navy Seals'. Work on three TV shows, all cancelled due to low ratings, followed before Robert Rodriguez's 'Planet Terror' offered him something of a big screen revival in 2007. Next up is French horror 'The Divide'.

Bill Paxton
Played the main punk rocker and has the honour of being the only actor whose characters were killed by the Terminator, Predator and Alien (the latter saw him reunited with Cameron) in the three big movies. As well as those hits, he went on to appear in 'Weird Science',  'Twister', 'Apollo 13', 'True Lies', Cameron's 'Titanic' and, er, the 2004 'Thunderbirds' movie.

Rick Rossovich
While Sarah Connor's flatmate Ginger (Bess Motta) hasn't since appeared in a movie, Rossovich, who played Ginger's boyfriend Matt - who was mercilessly thrown around the room by the Terminator — has enjoyed some success. Subsequent roles included the verbally challenged Chris alongside Steve Martin in 'Roxanne' and Slider in 'Top Gun'.

Stan Yale
See if you can spot a trend here. Yale played the 'Derelict in Alley' uttering the line "That son of a bitch took my pants," and his subsequent appearances included 'P.I. Private Investigations', in which he was credited as 'bum', 'Terminal Exposure' ('wino'), 'Moonlighting' ('bum'), 'Matlock' ('bum'), 'LA Law' ('first homeless man'), 'My Name Is Earl' ('homeless man')… You get the drift.

Paul Winfield
Hilarious as the police captain, before being gunned down by the Terminator of course, Winfield went on to utilise his comic timing by voicing Lucius Sweet, the Don King-styled boxing promoter character in 'The Simpsons'. Ironically enough, his other TV work included playing Don King in the small screen movie 'Tyson'.
