Whitney Way Thore has hit a weight-loss milestone, sharing that she’s lost 100 lbs. — but, as she told her Instagram followers, “I’m still very fat.”

The My Big Fat Fabulous Life star opened up about her recent weight loss after commenters on Instagram noted that she looked smaller in a recent video about her father’s birthday celebrations. Several asked if she’d had surgery.

“I hate addressing this, but no, I have not had medical intervention to lose weight. In 2015 (season 1), I weighed 385 pounds. In 2018, I lost 50 pounds. When my mom got sick and eventually died, I lost 50 more,” Thore, 39, wrote.

“I weigh 285 pounds and I have been this weight for almost a year now. This is the second time in my life I’ve lost 100 pounds. I’m still very fat,” she wrote. “Thank you for the compliments, but I really don’t like obsessing over my body and I don’t like it when others do it either. 💜”

Thore also replied to specific commenters, and pinned her responses.

The first pinned comment read, “You are definitely slimmer than you were June 2023 from your Switzerland post. However you’re coming to do it, you look great and congrats!!”

Thore replied, “I’m not though, and that’s why these comments are frustrating. I weight the exact same as I did in Switzerland and no one was freaking out then. I have not lost any weight since then.”

The second pinned comment addressed the surgery speculation.

“Did you get surgery? You look half the size!” one commenter wrote.

“No. I [weight] 285 and I’ve been this weight for about a year now," Thore responded.

In the video, Thore showed off her Mardi Gras-themed outfit, which included a teal top and a sequined belt.

“Can anyone guess what we’re doing to celebrate Dad’s birthday?” she asked in the post, her second about her father Glenn’s birthday 79th celebrations.

In an earlier post, Thore praised her father, saying, “How lucky are we to have been raised by a man who was always so proud of us, who never missed a performance or Daddy-daughter dance class? Who coached our soccer teams and always answered the phone at work when we called him, undoubtedly for something completely unimportant. Who showed us so much physical affection and told us every day how much he loved us. "

She also addressed the death of her beloved mom Babs, writing, “This past year without my mom has been the hardest we’ve ever lived through, and I am so proud of my daddy for continuing on in strength and for flourishing. We love you Daddy!!! Happy birthday!”
