Who’s The Most Successful Harry Potter Kid?

They starred in a franchise that grossed more than £5.1billion at the worldwide box office, but how have the pupils fared away from Hogwarts? Daniel Radcliffe’s latest cinematic outing ‘Horns’ is coming to DVD on Monday, but he’s not the only Hogwarts alumni still active in Hollywood.

We checked up on our favourite wizards and er, female wizards to find out who has made the most money outside of ‘Potter’…

1. Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory)

Estimated non-‘Potter’ box office takings: £2.35billion

He may have only starred in ‘Goblet of Fire’ (with a flashback in the fifth film), but thanks to a certain vampire saga, Rob tops our list. The ‘Twilight’ star also had a pretty solid £77m hit with romantic drama ‘Water For Elephants’, but it’s playing Edward Cullen that makes up the majority of his take.

2. Emma Watson (Hermione Granger)

Estimated non-‘Potter’ box office takings: £440,422,448

Watson has mixed critical favourites like ‘My Week With Marilyn’ and ‘The Bling Ring’ with bigger movies, but the reason she’s second is thanks to ‘Noah’ taking £240m and her hilarious cameo in Seth Rogen’s ‘This Is The End’.

3. Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)

Estimated non-‘Potter’ box office takings: £394,144,229

Two films take Felton to third place – ‘Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes’, which made almost £320million worldwide and a meta-appearance as himself in Russell Brand comedy ‘Get Him To The Greek’.

4. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter)

Estimated non-‘Potter’ box office takings: £93,580,082

DanRad looks set to score bigger at the cash registers with more blockbustery upcoming fare like ‘Now You See Me 2’, but it’s his performance in sleeper smash ‘The Woman In Black’, which made £85m on an £11m budget that gives him a solid number here.

5. Rupert Grint

Estimated non-‘Potter’ box office takings: £3,145,689

Unfortunately for Rupert, his choices post-‘Potter’ haven’t been the most financially effective, not that it matters with all the money he has in the bank already.

According to Box Office Mojo, his wartime action drama ‘Into The White’ made just £467, with an opening weekend of £59.

6.= Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), James & Oliver Phelps (Fred & George Weasley), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood)

Estimated non-‘Potter’ box office takings: £0

Lynch’s ‘G.B.F.’ and Wright’s ‘Before I Sleep’ didn’t register on Box Office Mojo, while Lewis has focused more on telly (including the upcoming BBC3 show ‘Bluestone 42’). Meanwhile, the Phelps twins are your go-to stars if you need someone Potter-y for an event or opening.

But with most of them still in their mid-twenties, they’re have plenty of time, so watch this space.
