Why Captain America: Civil War’s Sebastian Stan Liked Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

Currently, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is absolutely destroying the DC Extended Universe when it comes to critical acclaim and box office rewards.

Despite being 13 films deep the MCU continues to enthral audiences, while, with ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’, the DCU has already stumbled just two films into its universe.

Because of their current dominance, ‘Captain America: Civil War’s’ actors have been rather lenient with their abuse towards the ‘Man Of Steel’ sequel. In fact, Sebastian Stan has now come out and admitted that he actually “enjoyed” ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’.

“I did see ‘Batman v Superman’ and I enjoyed it,” Sebastian Stan admitted to the Daily Beast. “I think visually it was insane. I thought Ben Affleck was an incredible Batman. I thought that fight sequence he had against all the guys, that was sick. Even Jesse Eisenberg was cracking me up at some points.”

Sebastian Stan was so enthused by the film I’d be surprised if Warner Bros. didn’t use his quotes in their promotional campaign. Stan, who has played Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in all three solo Captain America outings, didn’t stop there, though.

Because the actor believes that Warner Bros.’ plan to quickly build to a ‘Justice League’ ensemble film is exactly what audiences want, instead of the more patient approach that the MCU deployed.

“I also think that DC is at a point right now where, it’s been my impression, they want to get to the Justice League,” Stan continued. “They want to go ahead and kind of get everybody fighting together. And I think the best way to jumpstart that was to get what I think most people wanted to see for a long time: Batman vs. Superman, two of the biggest superheroes in history.”

But don’t get the idea that Sebastian Stan is planning on jumping over to DC, because the actor made sure to conclude with, “But, I’m a Marvel guy, man.”
