Yahoo Movies Wicked star Kristin Chenoweth addresses potential cameo in new movie
Kristin Chenoweth, star of the original Broadway production of Wicked, has addressed a potential cameo in the new movie.
Based on the West End and Broadway musical, the upcoming movie adaptation stars Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the Witches of Oz.
Talking to Entertainment Tonight, Chenoweth, who starred in the original Broadway musical as Glinda aka the Good Witch, said that she "cannot confirm or deny" her involvement in the upcoming movie.

"I really...I really cannot," Chenoweth said. "I'm waiting and we'll see."
Speaking about Grande's turn as Glinda, Chenoweth showed her support for the singer and actress along with her co-star Erivo.
"I'm going to get to watch two women I know soar, and Ariana Grande is going to step so beautifully into my shoes," Chenoweth said. "I'm so excited for her, she's gonna put her own stamp on it."
Appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier this week, Chenoweth echoed this sentiment telling Clarkson that she was "so proud" of Grande.
"I can't wait to see her do it," she added, after revealing that she has known Grande since she was 10 years old.

According to Chenoweth, Grande called her when she got the part and said she wanted to make the Broadway star proud. After revealing that she was already proud of the singer, Chenoweth said she wanted Grande to put her own stamp on the role.
"What I want to encourage you to do, Ariana, is make Glinda your Glinda," Chenoweth said. "Sure, you can tip your hat at me if you want, but really, I just want you to do you."
Directed by Jon M Chu, the Wicked movie adaptation will be split into two parts, which are set for release in 2024 and 2025.
Wicked: Part One is set to be released on November 27, 2024, with Wicked: Part Two expected to follow on December 25, 2025.
