Wicked's Cynthia Erivo shares behind-the-scenes set photo as filming wraps
Wicked's Cynthia Erivo has shared a behind-the-scenes-photo and written an emotional post as filming has finally come to an end.
The actress plays Elphaba, the eventual Wicked Witch of the West, in the two-part movie adaptation of the long-running musical. Production shut down close to the end due to the US actors' union going on strike last year, and began again earlier this month for a few weeks to wrap things up.

Sharing a black-and-white photo of herself as the iconic Wizard of Oz character suspended in the air by wires, Erivo wrote: "I've been trying to think of what I'd say when this day finally came, and I'm failing miserably, because honestly there aren't enough words to fully express what this experience has meant to me, so I'll leave you with this.
"The universe will take things away to make space for the grand gifts it has waiting for us. THIS moment, this film, these people, this cast, this crew, this director, my Glinda, were the Grandest gift I could ever have asked for, and I am eternally grateful for the chance to bring you This Elphie. I hope when you meet her, you'll love her as much and as fiercely as I do.

Originally announced as one movie, it was eventually decided to split it into two, and it looks like it will be following the stage show in having 'Defying Gravity' as the end of the first part.
Wicked: Part One is scheduled to release on November 27, while Wicked: Part Two will be released a year later.
