Will Smith could be planning for a future in politics.
The Fresh Prince icon was appearing on the latest edition of US politics podcast Pod Save America, when he revealed the possible career path.
Asked if he might enter politics at some point in the future, he said: “I will certainly do my part, whether it remains artistic or, at some point, ventures into the political arena.”

He added that he wouldn't be rushing in, however.
“For now, I'm gonna let that office get cleaned up a little bit,” he added.
Smith is already dipping his toe into the arena, and was appearing on the show to promote Amend: The Fight For America, the new Netflix docu-series that he is hosting.

The series looks at the history and future of the 14th amendment of the US constitution, the cornerstone of equality of rights and of protection by law for all people in the United States.
“The 14th Amendment is essentially the center of what we think of when we think of ourselves as Americans,” Smith said. “The 14th Amendment is like the all-inclusive amendment that makes clear that all Americans are equal under the law. Ignorance can be educated. Evil is a much more difficult problem. Fortunately, ignorance is much more prevalent than blatant evil.
He added that he is 'optimistic. I'm hopeful, I believe in understanding between people. I believe in the possibility of harmony'.
Amend: The Fight For America, which also features Mahershala Ali, Samira Wiley, Courtney B. Vance and Samuel L. Jackson, is airing on Netflix now.
