Netflix has confirmed the release date for The Witcher's animated movie.

As part of its Geeked Week event, the streamer announced that The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep will launch on February 11, 2025.

Doug Cockle reprises his award-winning video game portrayal of Geralt of Rivia in this one-off film, which is produced by The Witcher TV show's creator Lauren Schmidt Hissrich.

In this adaptation of the short story A Little Sacrifice, Geralt is hired to investigate some strange attacks in a seaside village. He is soon drawn into a centuries-old battle between the human villagers and monsters from the sea.

The first clip, which is available to watch above, features an introduction from Doug Cockle confirming an all-new enemy for Geralt.

"Very soon, Geralt's gonna be back in action, battling not only men and monsters, but also merpeople," he revealed. "That's right, he's gonna cross swords with merpeople, of all things. Amazing stuff. It's going to be so cool."

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep takes place in the wider universe of the Netflix TV series, where Liam Hemsworth is taking over as the live-action Geralt from Henry Cavill.

The voice cast includes Joey Batey and Anya Chalotra reprising their roles from The Witcher live-action show as Jaskier and Yennefer of Vengerberg.
