A 46-year-old woman is in a critical condition following a shooting in north London on another day of violence for the capital.

Police were called at around 9.50pm on Tuesday to Lordship Lane in Haringey.

A witness told MailOnline that the shooting took place outside Kenny's hair salon, close to where the woman was found.

The victim was taken to hospital with gunshot injuries, while a 31-year-old man also has a "minor gunshot injury", police said.

No arrests have been made and anyone with information is urged to call 101.

The shooting came just hours after a separate incident in the north London borough left a man in a “potentially life-threatening” condition.
