The title to the ‘Wreck-It-Ralph’ sequel has been announced, and it turns out that it owes a debt of gratitude to none other than Kim Kardashian.

That’s because ‘Wreck-It-Ralph 2’ will now forever be known as the rather cumbersome ‘Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It-Ralph 2’. Disney made this announcement on Tuesday night during its presentation at CinemaCon. For those of you that don’t know, the term “break the internet” was popularised with Kim Kardashian’s scantily clad 2014 cover story for Paper Magazine.

It think it’s safe to assume that this is where the comparisons between Kim Kardashian and ‘Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It-Ralph 2’ will come to an end, though. Director Rich Moore, who is fresh off his Oscar success with ‘Zooptopia’ and oversaw the first film, released a statement detailing why the title was more than applicable for the film.

“To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world of the internet has given us so much to explore. Our production team has been hard at work designing a world that takes something we all think we know – the internet – but shows it in a whole new, imaginative way.”

We’ll get to see if ‘Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It-Ralph 2’ sneaks in any more references to Kim Kardashian or the rest of her family when it’s released on March 9, 2018. I’m hoping we’ll at least get to see Ralph in a pair of Rob’s socks, or an animated version of Lord Disick.
