X-Men Apocalypse Teaser Trailer Coming Soon Says Bryan Singer

Director Bryan Singer has shared a behind the scenes snap from the X-Men editing suite, promising a teaser for ‘Apocalypse’ soon.

Quite when that will be (the trailer was once rumoured to be attached to 'The Martian’) is anyone’s guess, but there’s not long now until the film is set to release.

Footage was shown off behind closed doors - in tandem with the first images in front of open doors - back at Comic Con in July. Inevitably the footage leaked online, and nothing has been seen of the film since.

Singer posted the picture on Instagram (below) with the caption: “Back in the cutting room [with John Ottman] teaser coming soon.”

An image from the film can be seen behind them, but it’s not exactly thrilling - showing “just” James McAvoy’s Professor X, and with hair too.

The forthcoming teaser has a lot it could show audiences. There’s bald Proffesor X, Oscar Isaac’s villain Apocalypse, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and the rest of the bumper cast.

The focus of that cast will be the young cast who will form the core of a new look X-Men team. There’s Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.

'X-Men: Apocalypse’ is set for release on 19 May 2016.
