Zac Efron Endorses The Rock To Become US President

Over the last couple of months, as the world has come to terms with the reality of a Clinton vs Trump US presidential election, The Rock whipped up a storm by hinting that he may one set his sights on the White House.

If he were to run in the distant future, when his slate of projects has run dry (this may never actually happen) then he’d have the support of one Zac Efron.

Efron, who earlier this year filmed the upcoming ‘Baywatch’ movie with Dwayne ’The Rock’ Johnson, even implied he’d be better-suited than the recently-confirmed Democratic and Republican nominees.

“He wants to make an impact beyond acting,” the 28-year-old to The Times. “He could run for president. F**k it, he’d be better than anyone at this point.”

The Rock got people excited about the prospect when he was asked by GQ Magazine about a potential future in politics. "I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled politics out,” he said. “I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure.

"I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring. And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.”

Then, in July, responded to a Washington Post article about the possibility of him winning an election, saying: “I care DEEPLY about our county… and the idea of one day becoming President to create real positive impact and global change is very alluring.

"Buuuuut until that possible day, the most important thing right now is strong honest leadership from our current and future leaders of this country.”

He could probably win this November’s election if he decided to run at the last minute, but he’s currently busy filming 'Fast 8’ and has a long list of films in his schedule.

Among them are video game adaptation 'Rampage’, 'Baywatch’, 'Journey 3’, the 'Jumanji’ reboot, 'Shazam!’ and 'Doc Savage’. Next up, he’ll heard but not seen in Disney animation 'Moana’.
