Zack Snyder Wants George Miller For A DC Movie

‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ director George Miller has really impressed with his vision of a post-apocalyptic future… as Zack Snyder says he’d love to see him make a DC superhero film.

During an interview with News.Com.Au, the ‘Batman V Superman’ director addressed those rumours that George Miller may direct ‘Man of Steel 2’. But while it seems he hasn’t been in for talks just yet, Zack Snyder is keen to get the ball rolling.

“George doing one of the DC movies?” asked Snyder. “Oh my God, absolutely. George can do anything he wants, in my opinion. We haven’t talked about it, and to be frank I just didn’t know what he was thinking of doing next. But yeah, if I was to think he had any interest in them of course I’m happy to talk to him.”

Of course, George Miller recently made waves with his return to the ‘Mad Max’ franchise. ‘Fury Road’ was a huge hit for Warner Bros. and has since spawned another sequel, currently titled ‘Mad Max: The Wasteland’.

Holding a 97% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it seems that ‘Fury Road’ has seen a return to form for the 70-year-old Australian director.

And Zack Snyder is a bit of a fan.

“No one would say that the best movie of the year isn’t Fury Road,” he said. “It’s just a f***ing great movie.”

Not content with praising ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and its director, Snyder really hammered the message home – confirming that while he hasn’t spoken to George Miller about directing a DC movie, he’s always open to the possibility.

So while that rumour of Miller taking on ‘Man of Steel 2’ may be a little premature, it looks as though there may be room for him amongst the upcoming DC superhero slate.

But which superhero would you like to see him take on? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
