Zendaya will star with boyfriend Tom Holland in Christopher Nolan's next movie for Universal Pictures.

The Dune: Part Two star and Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway will be joining Holland in the high-profile project ahead of a 2025 filming start, reports Deadline. Matt Damon was previously confirmed to be in the cast.

Universal has declined to comment on the latest casting news. Very little is known about the next Nolan project, other than that it reportedly will not be set in the present day.

Nolan has once again assembled a star-studded cast following his film Oppenheimer winning the Best Picture and Best Director Awards at this year's Oscars.

Zendaya and boyfriend Holland are also set to team up in the fourth Spider-Man movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, for director Destin Daniel Cretton.

The actor had huge critical and box office success this year with the romantic sports drama Challengers as well as the space epic Dune: Part Two.

On the horizon for Zendaya is writer-director Kristoffer Borgli's film The Drama, in which she is expected to star with Robert Pattinson and Elemental's Mamoudou Athie.

Anne Hathaway has previously worked with Nolan on the Batman film The Dark Knight Rises — playing Catwoman — and the science fiction drama Interstellar.

She has recently described the director as an "angel" for continuing to work with her during a period when she faced a Hollywood backlash.

"I don't know if he knew that he was backing me at the time, but it had that effect," the star told Vanity Fair earlier this year. "And my career did not lose momentum the way it could have if he hadn't backed me."

Next up for the actor is appearing with Ewan McGregor in the science fiction film Flowervale Street, from producer JJ Abrams and writer-director David Robert Mitchell (It Follows). Another starring role in Mother Mary, with Michaela Coel and Hunter Schafer, is in the works too.

The untitled Nolan film will release on July 17, 2026.
