Harry Potter star Jamie Waylett faces a jail term after pleading guilty to growing cannabis in his bedroom.
The 19-year-old actor, who plays bully Vincent Crabbe in the hugely popular films, admitted that he grew 10 cannabis plants at his mother's home.
Waylett and his friend John Innis were arrested by police earlier this year after they were caught with eight bags of the drug.
When police spotted pictures of cannabis plants on Waylett's digital camera, he confessed they were taken from his bedroom.
During the subsequent search at his London home, police found ten cannabis plants inside two tents in his bedroom.
The maximum sentence for growing cannabis plants is 14 years in prison, but Waylett's lawyer pleaded with the Westminster Magistrates Court on Thursday not to put him behind bars.
She said, "He has co-operated fully."
Judge Timothy Workman, who will sentence Waylett next Tuesday, said, "The production of cannabis is a serious matter. I'm not giving you any promises."
