Affleck's family hated his 'Argo' hair-do
Actor-director had to go full-on 70s for his new hostage drama
Ben Affleck has said that his family hated the 70s look he had to adopt for his new film 'Argo'.
The actor-director grew a sturdy beard for the role, as well as growing his hair out to play CIA man Tony Mendez.

“My family unanimously hated the look,” he said. “My dad was like, 'What kind of work would want you to look like that?' That's a good question.”
He added that his wife, actress Jennifer Garner, was also 'appalled' by his hirsute transformation.
The film, which centres around a plot to free US hostages in Iran in 1979, boasts an impressive cast, including Affleck – who also directs – Alan Arkin, John Goodman and Bryan Cranston.
It's opens in the UK on November 7.
