Arnie confirms he'll be the terminator in Terminator 5
Reprisal of his most iconic role is now set, with shooting planned for the New Year
Though it might seem a touch obvious – after all, who else would he play? - Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed that he will indeed by playing the Terminator in the fifth film.
The Austrian Oak revealed the news in an interview with an Australian fansite, along with an added tidbit about when the cameras will start to roll.
“I'm very happy that the studios want me to be in 'Terminator 5' and to star as the Terminator, which we start shooting in January,” he said.

“I'm also going to do King Conan - to play that role and also to do another Twins movie. So I feel very proud of that. I feel very happy and I'm looking forward to doing those films.”
The fifth film in the series was confirmed last year, and is being produced by hot indie company Annapurna Pictures, the company behind films including 'The Master', 'Zero Dark Thirty' and 'Spring Breakers'.
'Avatar' producer Laeta Kalogridis has penned the script, the scribe behind Martin Scorsese's 'Shutter Island' and Oliver Stone's 'Alexander'.
