Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig interview each other in hilarious video for Walter Mitty (Exclusive)

Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig take turns answering Yahoo reader questions in this hilarious and rather charming interview for their new film ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’.

Based on James Thurbers’ 1939 short story, the film follows timid daydreamer Walter (Stiller), who when he’s not quietly working in the photo department of LIFE magazine, dreams big… really big - living in a fantasy world where his heroic alter-ego climbs mountains, escapes exploding buildings and is definitely not afraid to ask out his pretty co-worker.But, when a special photograph for the final issue’s cover - sent in by explorer Sean O’Connell (Sean Penn) - goes missing, Walter decided to go on the journey he’s always dreamed of, track down O’Connell, and save the day for himself.

Expect inspiration, and if the trailer’s anything to go by, a superb soundtrack.

“I could connect with that Walter lives in his head a lot of the time,” Stiller admitted to Wiig during their chat. “He’s always imagining versions of himself, and himself doing things that he doesn’t do in reality.”

“I do that a lot. I’ll sort of like think about something I could say to somebody, but I don’t say it. Or sometimes I’ll imagine myself a few inches taller,” he joked.

“That’s what I like about the movie. It’s about actually going out and realising your dreams.”
