New Battleship trailer brings the mayhem

Or should that be 'Bayhem'? The latest trailer for 'Battleship', exclusively on Yahoo! Movies in the UK, shares more than a passing resemblance to Michael Bay's 'Transformers' flicks.

We have giant alien robots making whirring noises, massive explosions... oh, and a tagline that reads 'From Hasbro, the company that brought you Transformers'.

But we're hoping this boardgame-turned-blockbuster will be a heap of fun in its own right.

We have Taylor Kitsch as a feckless but smart naval officer who falls for the stunning Brooklyn Decker. Problem is, her dad is also his boss; scary Admiral Liam Neeson, and he's not a fan of his daughter's fiancé.

The family squabbles are interrupted when their fleet, while performing routine naval manoeuvers in the Pacific, encounters a mysterious alien race called 'The Regents'. Watery action ensues.

Most of you will also know that music superstar Rihanna is making her acting debut in the film, as a no-nonsense sailor.

'Battleship' is released in the UK on 11 April 2012. Let us know what you think below.
