Exclusive: ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ clip

Tom Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt in 'Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol' — the fourth instalment of the megabucks franchise.

It will smash into UK cinemas on 26 December, but before that Yahoo! Movies has nabbed an exclusive clip from the film.

You'd expect to see explosions or gunfights, but refreshingly the scene highlights something the 'Mish' series isn't especially well known for: comedy.

We see mysterious agent Jeremy Renner (rumoured to eventually take on the 'Impossible' mantle from Cruise) and Simon Pegg's boffin discussing their next, umm, impossible mission.

It gives a great feel for the kind of laughs - as well as action — that Pixar legend Brad Bird is hoping to inject into the franchise. He directed 'The Incredibles' and 'Ratatouille'.

Fleshing out the cast are Paula Patton, Ving Rames, Josh Holloway and Anil Kapoor.
