    John Carter: five-minute clip

We have a sneak preview to whet your appetite of Disney's blockbuster 'John Carter'.

It's a five-minute-long (almost) action-packed clip from the epic action adventure, exclusively on Yahoo! Movies UK.

    Watch the video below.

Taylor Kitsch stars as the Civil War vet transplanted to Mars (that old chestnut) and discovers a lush planet inhabited by 12-foot tall barbarians. Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter a princess who is in desperate need of a savior.

It's loads better than Avatar - at least it has a storyline. These has been around for years - first written 100 years ago - hence it coming out this year.

At last another masterpiece by E R Burrough's has been brought to live - even thought the creatures reminds us of the 'blue' aliens in Avatar. I just hope the movie is as good as the book.
